Annual Parish Council Meeting
The Annual Parish Council Meeting is to be held at the Pinewood Community Hall, Laburnum Close in the Lounge Room on Monday 14 May 2012. All meetings are open to the public and start promptly at 7.30pm. Our District and County Councillors regularly attend our meetings as does our local Safer Neighbourhood Team Officer. If you have any issues or concerns you wish to raise come along and when the meeting goes into open forum for 'Parishioners Questions' then feel free to raise it at this point. Alternatively you may contact the Parish Clerk via email, telephone or in writing to raise an issue of concern and so that it may be brought to the attentiion of the parish council. If you would like to just come along and listen to the issues being raised/discussed then you are very welcome. Please note that you must be a government elector for the area should any vote be taken. The agenda for the meeting is available on the 'Parish Council' page approx. one week prior to the meeting.
The Annual General Meeting of the Parish Council is the time when the Chairman is elected for the year ahead and also the Committees are formed too. Currently there are three committees, Community Hall Committee, Car Park Committee and the Human Resources Committee.
The council currently has one vacancy for a councillor, if you are interested in becoming involved, have a few hours spare each month and enjoy a challenge then why not consider joining the council as a co-opted member. For more information, contact Sandra Peartree, Parish Clerk on 01473 403745 or via email pinewoodpc@ntlworld.com who will be happy to give you further information on how to apply!
